Exams are often stressful. Reading a large number of books and memorizing everything might be a challenging task. The vast majority of students fail to complete their coursework on time due to the humongous exam pressure. If you are dealing with a similar problem, we can assist you.

Here, you should understand that adding additional hours to your day is difficult, but every hour can be made more effective and productive.

This post will discuss some of the simplest and most efficient methods for studying more in less time. Using these strategies, you will undoubtedly be able to complete your whole syllabus while still having enough time to review what you have learnt. If you don't trust us, keep reading:

Investigate the same topic in various locales

It is a scientifically confirmed fact: your brain retains it better if you study the same thing in several places. According to studies, when we study in a certain area, our brain tends to relate the remembered knowledge to the surroundings. As a result, if you collect a large number of information that is relevant to one or more aspects of your environment, it becomes simpler for your brain to recall them.

So, study in your room, in the yard, on your balcony, at a friend's house, or in a coffee shop. This will help you remember things better when you sit in your exam room.

De-clutter your study area

If you store laptops, books, smartphones, and other distractions on your study table, you will undoubtedly become side-tracked. For example, you may feel compelled to check your Instagram account for 5 minutes, and those 5 minutes will magically grow into 30 minutes before you realise you have squandered a significant amount of time.

Keep electronics away from you when you're studying. Instead, keep your attention on academics if your laptop helps you study. Don't open another tab only to skim through for a few seconds.

Priority-based learning

Prioritise the content for each topic before you begin studying. For example, you can prioritise the chapters based on the distribution of marks and the difficulty level.

If time allows, begin with the chapters that are more challenging and hold more weight. This is a strategy for postponing gratification and making it easier to study more as the exam approaches.

If you save the more challenging chapters until later, you may get irritable, grumpy, and unable to grasp more. On the other hand, leaving easy chapters until later helps you maintain the pace and interest. As a result, you will be able to learn more effectively and efficiently.

The 'memory palace' method

Another scientifically proven truth is that pupils who employ the 'memory palace' approach retain information more effectively.

What exactly is the 'memory palace' technique?

This concept extends back to the Roman and Greek eras and argues that establishing a link between two items allows you to remember and recall more information. While studying, connect the knowledge to its actual place. This facilitates learning.

For example, if you're studying in your room, associate a table or chair with information, repeat the names of compounds or formulae, and so on. To remember important dates, use various coloured pencils. To remember a list of particular facts or data, use mnemonics and so on.

Take breaks

You won't be able to focus for more than 60 minutes. So, instead of pushing oneself to learn more after a one-hour study session, take a little rest. Divide your study time into 30 or 60-minute increments, followed by a brief rest.

These study strategies can really allow you to study more in less time.
